The Management, Acquisition and Launch Team

CurtCo Media has been fortunate to have a number of highly gifted executives that have driven CurtCo's success. This team has, on average, worked together at CurtCo Media for more than a decade.

William J. Curtis

William J. Curtis -Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

  • More than 25 years identifying markets, building communities.
  • Develops and maintains the company vision.
  • Guides incubated company's development and execution.
  • Oversees all areas and company departments and approves all significant financial obligations.
  • Seeks business opportunities and strategic alliances with other organizations.
  • Plans, develops and establishes policies and objectives of the business organization in accordance with the company charter.
  • Directs and coordinates financial programs to provide funding for new or continuing operations, in order to maximize return on investments and increase productivity.
   
Daniel Galpern

Daniel Galpern - Chief Operating Officer

  • CurtCo management team member since 2003
  • More than 10 years of experience in corporate development, private equity and mergers and acquisitions with TD Capital Communications Partners, the private equity arm of Toronto Dominion Bank, and at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
  • Spearheads CurtCo’s corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and capital and funding.
  • Directs and coordinates advertising, sales, marketing and communications.
  • Oversees negotiation and structuring of all significant contract and partnership arrangements.
   
Chris Fabian

Chris Fabian - Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

  • CurtCo management team member since 1998.
  • More than 20 years of experience in accounting, administrative and merger and acquisition experience with Deloitte & Touche, Freedom Communications, Inc., and CurtCo Media Labs. [C.P.A. and M.B.A.]
  • Oversees financial forecasting, including capital budget, cash budget, pro forma financial statements, external financing requirements and financial condition requirements.
  • Spearheads CurtCo's due diligence on acquisitions and potential partnerships.
  • Develops business plans.
  • Participates in the negotiation of all contracts and partnership arrangements.
  • Develops and maintains internal financial and accounting systems.
   
Keith Fletcher

Keith Fletcher - Vice President, Chief Information Officer

  • More than 20 years experience in Information Technology, 15 in very Sr. Management roles.
  • Broad experience base including being Co-Founder of Tenant Connect, a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier in California, Colorado and Texas.
  • Specializing in optimization of technology systems, processes and teams.
  • Tasked with formulating and implementing the strategic direction for technology within CurtCo.
  • Supports the technology infrastructure for CurtCo and its subsidiaries.
  • Works closely with M&A teams to facilitate integration of acquisitions.
   
Brett Anderson

Brett Anderson - Senior Vice President, Editorial Development

  • CurtCo management team member since 1989.
  • More than 15 years of experience developing and launching publications in a wide range of industries.
  • Establishes creative direction of editorial product consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Develops strategies for capturing audience through editorial product based on market demographics.
  • Develops editorial policies to improve workflow and increase quality.
  • Supervises each editorial group.
   
   
Lauren Herr

Lauren Coniglio - Senior Vice President, Circulation Development

  • CurtCo management team member since 1994.
  • More than 15 years of experience in circulation marketing.
  • Has developed more than one dozen circulation teams.
  • Responsible for development of subscription and newsstand sales.
  • Established all circulation modeling, and identifies and deploys efficiencies.
  • Developed and implemented circulation strategies for more than 15 publication launches or acquisitions.
   
Charles Gawartin

Charles Gawartin - Senior Vice President, Financial Planning & Strategy

  • CurtCo management team member since 1992.
  • More than 20 years of experience in print and media finance and accounting. [M.B.A.]
  • Performs financial forecasting, including yearly financial statement and cash budgets, pro forma financial statements, and monthly forecasts.
  • Manages all banking, tax, and insurance-related issues and relationships.
  • Member of the due diligence teams for sales and acquisitions of all CurtCo Media Labs properties.
   
Randall Ishimine Randall Ishimine - Senior Vice President, Manufacturing & Production Development
  • CurtCo management team member since 1992.
  • More than 15 years of experience in pre-press, print and media production and development.
  • Directs and oversees management of all manufacturing and materials procurement.
  • Identifies and deploys ancillary revenue streams through innovative technologies.
  • Directs and oversees management of all quality assurance processes.
  • Directs Reprint and related media sales efforts.
   
Collette Kronick Colette Alderson - Senior Vice President, Publishing Development
  • CurtCo management team member since 1987.
  • More than 15 years of experience in publishing, sales and marketing.
  • Founding publisher of numerous titles.
  • Identifies strategies for fulfilling CurtCo's sales objectives.
  • Identifies and develops all strategic partnerships and alliances pursuant to CurtCo's near and long-term strategic goals.
  • Head of CurtCo's corporate sales team.
   
Melinda Lyon

Melinda Lyon - Vice President, Human Resources Development

  • CurtCo management team member since 2000.
  • More than 20 years experience in Human Resources Management with fortune five hundred companies. [M.P.A.]
  • Expertise in supporting business strategies and goals with emphasis on providing guidance and counsel to management and employees.
  • Manages all Human Resources functions such as recruitment, orientation, policies and procedures, compensation and benefits, organizational development and training, and employee relations.

 

   
Robert Ross

Robert Ross - Senior Vice President, Creative Development

  • CurtCo management team member since 1990.
  • More than 25 years of experience in media design.
  • Directs, coordinates and manages all activities associated with design and execution of the publications, Web sites, marketing, sales, merchandising and collateral materials.
  • Oversees automotive editorial content of CurtCo publications.

   

Ken deBie – Senior Vice President, Design Development

  • CurtCo management team member since 1992.
  • More than 20 years of experience in publication design.
  • Directs and manages design and art production of the publications, marketing, sales and collateral materials.
  • Manages all functions of nationwide art department including talent acquisitions, budgets, organizational development and training.
