"I wrote this piece for the people like me, who have endured unkind words - so much so that it’s shaped their identity.

This is for those who chase, seek approval and believe the actions of others define their own - they don’t and this won’t bring you happiness. Being there for yourself and those who light you up is happiness. That is something you will never have to chase.
