A Moment of Your Time

Episode 246 - “The Grind” by Naly Rice

Naly Rice is a tech marketing entrepreneur, writer, and keynote speaker based in the DC metro area. Her business keynote speeches to motivate women and minorities have now translated into poetry with her Notes by Naly series on Instagram. Her unique background as a first-generation Hmong American, her rise from tech startup worker to a full-blown B2B technology marketing company founder, and her willingness to open up about the trials and tribulations, are inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs who are living life on their own terms and building businesses through COVID.

A Statement from Naly:

"When COVID started, I had to change gears as a keynote speaker. Throughout the pandemic, I've had a lot of pent up creative energy and it turned into a lot more poetry and writing instead of speaking. I wrote this autobiographical piece from my experience working in technology and being a female founder. Once you get there, you realize that it's not what you think, and working in marketing/branding jaded me to a certain extent with shopping and attaining items that society may consider "successful." After all of it, I realized that I was still just chasing my dream, and money, handbags, or jewelry wasn't enough of a motivation to keep me going on the grind. I had to dig deep and stay true to my morals and integrity through it all but it's worth it in the end."
