THE JOB - AUDIO ENGINEER
CurtCo Media is seeking an enthusiastic & experienced Audio Engineer to join their growing podcast team. This person will be responsible for recording sessions in our state-of-the-art Malibu studio or a variety of shows
This candidate will work with the producers, coordinators, and hosts to establish and maintain the ''sound'' of the CurtCo Brand. This includes everything from creatively collaborating with Producers/Editors/Mastering Engineers/Sound Designers etc.
This is a part-time position, working on-call during podcast recordings (scheduled in advance).

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
-
Manage the CurtCo studios, ensuring optimal conditions and standards

Oversee recording sessions
-
Work creatively and collaboratively with Producer/Editors on recording and mixing

Provide expert technical pre-production audio support to producers, talent, guests
-
Act as the first line of defense in solving studio and workflow issues

Maintain studios and help manage audio software and plugin updates
-
Assist with mixing and mastering of interview episodes as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Experience as a podcast in-studio engineer (or equivalent position) preferred but not required
-
Experience dealing with celebrity talent strongly preferred
-
Responsible for organizing and storing all in studio recordings to be shared with the team

In-depth knowledge of Logic and cutting-edge plug-ins
-
Comfortable with the concept of LKFS measurements and mixing for different specs and platforms (EQ, Compression)

Ability to quickly, calmly, and creatively solve complex issues under pressure

Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
-
Excellent attention to detail

Strong organization and time management skills
-
Positive attitude and solid communication skills to articulate complex technical information to team members with technical and/or non-technical backgrounds
